Dear Sir,

With reference to your letter to Mr. Devereux of the 11th, I have pleasure in enclosing you herewith a number of Data Sheets giving the full characteristics of both our casting and forging alloys.

Our Hiduminium/R.R.56 Alloy in the form of tubes has an 0.1% Proof Stress of 22 tons per square inch, with an Ultimate Stress of 28 tons per square inch.

Typical figures on forged magnesium alloy are as follows:-

0.1% Proof Stress: 12 to 14 tons per sq. inch.
Ultimate Stress: 19 to 21 tons per sq. inch.
Elongation: 8 to 12%

I trust that this information will be of some assistance to you, and I shall be only too pleased to supply you with further details if you should consider it necessary.
