γ 1487 Expl. Dept. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/MJ. 30th. May, 1934. The S.U. Carburetter Company, East Works, Bordesley Green Rd., Adderley Park, BIRMINGHAM, 8. For the attention of Mr. Davey. Dear Sir, In reply to your letter of the 29th.inst., we are pleased to hear that you anticipate making a satisfactory layout of the carburetters to suit Kestrel Vl.{V. Lewis / Mr Valentine} engine. We are arranging to send you an official order for this work. We hope that you will treat this matter urgently because we think it will be to our mutual advantage to get a test in the air as soon as possible. As you are aware, the Air Ministry have Standardised Mixture controls on 1934 engines and we anticipate trouble with the scheme which has been approved, therefore we are anxious to be in a position to demonstrate to them an alternative. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
