High Power Valve Gear Inertia

The valve gear mechanism as fitted to No 5 head. i.e. the new main engine head, is lighter than the old valve gear, due to shortened rocker. With the newer lightened valve gear as enumerated on Dal/Sm 2/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 12.10.37. we hope to obtain fairly good results as regards bounce, bottom tappet wear, valve spring stresses &c.
