To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from EFC. c. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} X 4646 EFC1/T25.9.26. X.4646 - BONE GREY FIBRE Referring back to our EFC1/T2.11.25, and particularly with reference to bone grey fibre, the 10,000 mile test of the bone grey fibre made from the sample received from Messrs. Spauldings (and referred to in that report), has shewn itself to be considerably inferior in wearing qualities on the actual job on the 10,000 mile test on a chassis in France. We consider it should not be used if the better material which we were using before the Spaulding fibre was available, is still itself available. EFC. | ||
