Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

Sleeveless Magneto.

We thank you for your letter of the 20th inst., regarding the magneto No. 98201 made to give a large angle of advance without the use of a sleeve.

We note your remark on the subject of noise but would point out that this machine was only sent with a view of ascertaining whether it was satisfactory in so far as the electrical performance was concerned.

We will submit to you as quickly as possible a machine embodying all the modifications we propose to make including the modifications to the cam ring.

There are one or two details that we should like to have an opportunity of discussing with you and we should be obliged if you will let us know if it would be convenient for you to see our Mr. Allen with regard to these details about Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

The modifications which will be incorporated in the machine we propose to submit will have a considerable effect on the quietness of running of the magneto.

Yours faithfully,
FOR AND ON BEHALF OF
NORTH & SONS, LTD;
C H Kirby
