DETAILED REPORT.

CONSTRUCTIONAL DETAILS.

Bore x Stroke = 85 m/m x 88 m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore}
3.346" x 3.464"

Swept Volume = 500 c.c. (30.5 cu.ins.)

Compression Ratio = 7.3

Inlet Valve diameter = 1.200"

Exhaust Valve diameter = 1.100"

Valve Lift = .320"

Area past inlet valves (total) = 2.16 sq.ins.

Area past exhaust valves (total) = 1.75 sq.ins.

--------------------

The cylinder head (detachable) is of bronze and its inside surface conforms roughly to a segment of a sphere, except that the two inlet valves are fitted on a flat with their stems parallel. The two exhaust valves are fitted radially. The sparking plug is fitted centrally in the cylinder head. The piston top is convex.

The crankshaft is mounted on ball bearings and the big end on roller bearings. The gudgeon pin is a push fit in the piston and takes its bearing directly in the unbushed small end of the connecting rod.
