To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} TEST TACKLE. We wish to have an attachment made, for testing exhaust silencers on the test bench. This is to be used as a 'cut-out', and should be a heavy casting, having two outlets, controlled by a throttle valve. One outlet will go to atmosphere and to the other will be connected the particular exhaust silencer to be tested; as already mentioned, the two outlets controlled by the throttle valve, which will give a changeover from one outlet to the other. This part is for use in No.30 Test house where we can supply further details, when you instruct the drawing to be made. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} | ||
