ROAD VEHICLES - TRADE LICENCES.

GENERAL TRADE LICENCES.

Para.4. The Holder of a 'General Trade Licence' may use it on any vehicle, (or, if it is applicable only to vehicles of the cycle or invalid carriage type, or any vehicle of that type which is for the time being in his possession), provided that the vehicle is used for the purpose of his business as a manufacturer, dealer or repairer. So long as it is being so used, no offence will be committed merely because the vehicle is at the same time being used for some other or further purpose; the only restriction being it must not be used for the conveyance of passengers for profit or reward. For instance, in the course of a trial run or test, passengers may be carried gratuitously; and useful loads may be carried, either gratuitously or on payment.

Note:- See attached regulations Fo 10, 11 and 12.
