Burt - Engineer} A.F.SIDGREAVES, O.B.E. A.H.R.FEDDEN, M.B.E. E.W.HIVES, M.B.E. YOUR REF OUR REF RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}1/BS{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager}/10.2.41. W.A. Robotham, Esq., Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. Dear Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, In reply to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/ET.2.2.41 arrangements have been made to release Vaughen Lewis on February 24th and he can therefore report to you at Rolls-Royce immediately afterwards, which I hope will be satisfactory. I was speaking to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} recently about the Wraith car owned by Sir Stanley White who complains every time I see him about the fact of the engine cutting out on corners, which is evidently a carburation problem. This fault has existed ever since he took delivery and although the car was sent to Hythe Road for attention some time ago, I understand there is still no improvement with regard to this particular fault. In conversation Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} suggested that one of your experts could best attend to the matter and I intend to write Sir Stanley on these lines, so perhaps you would be good enough to communicate with him direct and make the necessary arrangements. Yours sincerely, R H Coverley | ||
