Derby.

Dear Sirs,

Ha:Wst:9:MA

Thank you for your letter of 31st. Jany., and for so kindly examining the drawings left with Mr. West on 29th. January.

May we point out that numerous unprejudiced motorists have found the Safe-light Device to:-

(1) Cause on-coming drivers voluntarily to dip, while the Safe-light lamps are focussed straight ahead, and

(2) Give as good a - if not a better - driving light as the same lamps before being equipped with Safe-lights.

You will agree that if on-coming drivers dip it is a proof -- to some extent at least -- that these drivers are NOT being dazzled. Read the attached cutting from THE EVENING EXPRESS by an independent investigator.

May we suggest a practical demonstration with the writer's car after dark? A five-minute test will be sufficient to prove that Safe-Light Devices fulfill all our claims. Would Monday 11th. January suit Mr. West?

We are, Sirs,
Yours most faithfully
THE SAFELIGHT MOTOR LAMP CO. Ltd.
Managing Director.

P.S. Lord Derby's Head Chauffeur expresses great appreciation of the Safe-lights recently fitted to his Lordships ROLLS ROYCE limousine, and TODAY HAS ARRANGED FOR FURTHER CARS TO BE SIMILARLY EQUIPPED during the next few days.
