Dear Rothes,

Thank you for your letter of the 27th September.

I shall be in London for the Motor Show on October 21st and 22nd. I could lunch with you on the 22nd. My wife will be there, but that will not prevent us talking business.

With regard to fitting India tyres to the new chassis as O.E., and on the Stand, this you will appreciate is largely a matter of policy. At the moment there is every indication that our London Office would prefer to stick to Dunlops. We have pointed out to them that at the present moment you tyres are quieter than the Dunlops, and that of the two we at present prefer the Indias. It is for them, however, to make the final decision.

Probably if you yourself saw Sidgreaves you could get a clear idea of what exactly is in their minds.

I think that you might with advantage keep several sets of 7 x 18" tyres handy in case London decide to demonstrate on them.

Yours sincerely,
