| Oil consumption X986 (Road tests) 3809. on 741 car. to Do Much Per Derby to Mn. practically full load on the G.P. no throttle. - oil fed to cylinders thro 3/64" holes open 1/4" of end of throttle. 3 accel. 134 miles [crossed out] 67 miles. 9 1/4 gills oil used. ∴ per gall oil. = 232. miles. 3 1/2 hrs run. on 736 car no oil to cylinders 20 lbs pressure 76 miles - good load. 7 gills oil used ∴ per gall. = 348 miles. 4 hrs running. on 741 - another run 270 mils i.e. per gall. 400. | ||
