Since we have strengthened the springs on the pumps of 32 EX. in order to make them pump an adequate supply in their new position, we have run 2.958 miles and the pumps continue to work away without any adverse trouble. We found that the supply, using the weaker springs, although good, would not allow the car to run over 80 MPH. but up to that speed the power & acceleration would be normal. If however, the present position proves impracticable, we might try and use a scheme such as the Lagonda Car Co. employ i.e. to recess the scuttle and use the bonnet as a lid.{A. J. Lidsey} The only objection to this might be noise. Enclosed is a sketch which shows what we mean. ---------- GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/H.H. H Hamilton | ||
