We send you herewith drawing No.Le.C.1901.,
shewing floating piston pins with spherical ends for the
above.

The piston pins are held in place by the cyl-
inder bores, and the latter are prevented from being damaged
by spherical aluminium plugs pressed into the ends of the
piston pins. Care will be needed to avoid distorting the
pin when assembling the plugs, since the former is such an
exact fit in the pistons.

Trouble might be expected due to the piston pins
being driven out, and this action collapsing the plugs. If
this is so, the plugs may be thickened.

The EAC. piston shewn is similar to the one already
designed for the longer connecting rods, and we should like to
point out that its general thickness as shewn on this and
the original drawing, is less than the standard 40/50 piston.
