We have today despatched one new Bijur Pump which we have tested and found satisfactory. Will you please fit this to 22-EX car.

We propose trying direct pressure feed to the cross steering tube ball ends. Will you please see that the two S.O. drip plugs in the brake drum feeding these points are removed, the non-return valves and plunger taken out, and the drip plug replaced. This should be done before the car starts its 10,000 miles test.

We are instructing the Works that the proper operation of the Bijur Pump is accomplished by giving the pedal a depression once before starting out each day and subsequently every 100 miles if a long journey is contemplated. We think that the former is the more important instruction because the chassis is at even temperature and the plugs should then deliver a pre-determined quantity of oil. Owing to the drip plugs being easily affected by heat, we cannot guarantee how much oil goes to the bearings when the engine is warm, and although our previous
