Scuttle bolts and rubber column bracket. These on occasions will give 50% cure, but generally not more than 25%.

Scuttle bolts. should be set as loose as possible providing torque reaction and the relative movement between the dash and the scuttle is satisfactory. When the rear engine feet are removed the scuttle bolts tightness has not the same control over torque reaction and thus we have so far found that we can afford to have the scuttles looser than with 4 engine feet. we do not consider it is advisable to have any relative movement between the dash and scuttle.

Rubber Column Bracket. F.83615. this isolates the column from the dash and has proved to be most useful on occasions. On one car we had trouble with torque reaction. The steering wheel although not feeling bad for vibrations, looked very bad. The result of this fixture can be easily found by slacking off the 2 bolts holding the 2 halves of the standard bracket together. 4 different grades of hardness of rubber have been supplied. If torque raction is O.K. on the steering wheel when the standard bracket is slackened off, we should advise No.3 quality rubber. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} type and E type brackets are similar.

We are letting you have 2 scheme drawings for the rub-ber column bracket and spare wheel carrier bracket, also two alternative rough sketches of the advised rear engine feet safety plate.
