X5010 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Cry.2/KW. 28th September, 1934. The Super Oil Seal Manufacturing Co., River Lee Road, Greet, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, We send you herewith a drawing of the oil retaining felt fitted to the rear main bearing of our 20/25 engines. This felt is not entirely satisfactory. We wonder whether you have any suggestions for curing oil leaks at this point. Possibly you have a split seal that would do the job and we should be glad to hear from you whether this is so. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
