Issues with a brake drum, a failed spring centre bolt, and other damaged parts sent for examination.

( 2 ) The black patches have very nearly disappeared off the O.S.R. brake drum with further running, so we shall not fit the new drum yet. The spring centre bolt which failed, was 5/16" diameter. The holes in the springs are a curious elongated slotted shape and appear to form a good cutting tool. We are sending the broken bolt together with the broken damper connecting link for your examination. We have also sent per "Grande Vitesse" the distorted exhaust manifold, and a damaged Negretti thermometer for the attention of Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. ----------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M.
