SHEET 12. TEST NO: X. WOODHEADS 12 1/2% STIFFER FRONT SPRINGS - 98-NK. TROUBLES. Brakes completely out of action. Folberth windscreen wiper failed. Autovac suction pipe broken. Servo jaggers occasionally. Main cyl. extra oil pipe broken. Electrical system failed. Exhaust manifold cracked. Step iron broken. Main cyl. extra oil pipe broken. N.S. Front springs (bottom leaf broken). Wooden bushes in Hartford shock absorbers failed. Throttle governor seized up. Pipe too long, fouling magneto wire carrier clip. Insulation of main battery cables cut through by metal valence. Dowel holes not large enough to allow for expansion of manifold. Battery and spare petrol carried on running board. MILEAGE OF TEST 10,001 - AVERAGE SPEED 37 M.P.H. Front brake toggle actuating shafts badly worn. Rattle badly. Bottom pivot bushes badly worn.
