Re. BODY SUB-FRAME
40/50 H.P. "E" SERIES.

Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} in company with H.O. visited Messrs. Hoopers this morning, and discussed with them our design of sub-frame, and explained its special features.

It appeared to both themselves, and also ourselves, that it would be a difficult, and possibly expensive, task to fit the completely framed, and partly panelled, body to the under-frame, and we have recommended to C. that we ask them to take back the body allocated and be allowed to build a new body to meet the circumstances.

This would provide a better job at less expense, and probably take not more than a week longer to produce.

The sub-frame has not arrived up to date. On its arrival, Hoopers will set out a body in detail, and submit it to us.

Will Derby please arrange to send H.O. a complete set of prints for the 40/50 h.p. under-frame in order that he may supply them to Messrs. Hooper.

We are informing the Coachbuilders that they should not paint this body at all, but leave it in the bare metal and wood state, as we propose taking the car, when complete, to The Enamelcar Co., at Tottenham, to be finished by their Pyroxilin process. This latter is made possible by C's suggestion of modifying a car, which he has on hand, to be used as the under-frame chassis during the building of these bodies until a "W" Series chassis is available.
