(Dict. 15th) Dear Sirs, Referring to your visit to Fort Dunlop in early February, we have now completed investigations with regard to the contact length of various makes of tyre, and are able to report that in the main our new Fort pattern for both the E.L.P. and normal types shows our contact length to be shorter than competitive equipment. In the case of the 6.50-16 in which you were interested, our figure has an advantage in this respect over 17 other types. Under the circumstances, if you would be kind enough to advise us of the actual tyres on which your impressions have been based, we should be very pleased to carry out further investigations to determine the relative values of this feature in the tyres concerned.
