This removes the maximum amount of material, but does not impair the strength of the dash. Would Mr. Day kindly carry out this alteration. The conductors for the left hand head and side lights can also pass through the dash and then under the engine foot and forward.

(10) Mr. Royce is not pleased with the wiring, which we understand has been carried out by Messrs. Lucas. The sheet metal clips have sharp edges which promise to fray through the covering of the conductors. They are also inadequately held by a single screw on one side only, which has no tail to take the overhung load. One conductor in particular seems to be in danger of shorting, and this is the asbestos covered cable to the magneto contact breaker.
Some endeavours should be made to get better wiring clips which are held by little bolts passing through the dash, and not by screws tapped into the dash.
