Bentley 80 Units - contd.

No.2. On test for general development.
Fitted with Camwheel having .020 backlash and torsional indicator.

No.3. Fitted in 11.B.V. Chassis.

No.4. Test Bed Unit.
This Unit has been returned to the shop for the purpose of removing the Crankshaft, Camshaft etc., and fitting same to B.80.No.5 Unit, in connection with 30,000 miles trials see HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}8/BA.7.6.39. Specification for rebuilding has been issued. Anticipate passing to test. 28.6.39.

No.5. New Unit required for 30.G.VII in connection with 30,000 miles trials.
Fitted to 30.G.VII.

No.6. New Unit in accordance with specification issued in HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}1/BA.31.3.39. The main items consisting of,
1. EB.4670 Crankcase T.H. and Cylinders to suit 2.750 dia journals.
2. EB.4575 Crankshaft, with nose end to EB.4104 to suit original harmonic damper.
3. EW.2121 Split skirt pistons.
4. EB.4098 Cylinder Head.
5. EB.4512 Camshaft.
6. Ex.33420 Solid stem exhaust valves.
7. EB.4835 Induction Pipe to ECD.1298.
8. EB.4291/2 Exhaust Manifolds.
9. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}576 Flywheel.
10. R.R.Ignition Distributor.
AG. stated that all details would be completed by the time the Crankshaft was available.

No.7. New Unit which will be required for the Silver Dawn 80 Chassis No.33.G.VII.
The following are the main items.
