1020 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}4/JH. 22nd. August, 1938. Messrs. Vandervell Products Ltd., Western Avenue, Park Royal, W.3. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 19th. giving quotations for the little end and rocker bushes B.2203/4. Regarding the cam bearings to our order 63622 which you held up in abeyance, we quite realise your point in having the same diameter on all the camshaft bearings, unfortunately, however, the first engine for these bearings has gone too far to incorporate bearings of the same diameter, however the drawings are being modified so that subsequent engines will cater for this. In view of the above therefore we shall be pleased to receive the bearings to our order 63622 letter ref. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Ms.7/P.9.8.38. as soon as possible. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
