Improvements to the engine cooling system, suggesting an automatic shutter over a simple warning lamp.

COPY. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} We have received standardisation sheet from England for tell-tale lamp on thermometer to avoid driver boiling unknown. This seems like going half way towards an automatic shutter without getting there. On your return, perhaps you would suggest a shutter operated by either oil pressure or intake vacuum with a thermostat to control the operation. This is the ideal scheme because it has power to break ice and shuts when engine stops. The alternative is vapour cooling. Oy. | ||
