SIX THOUSAND TIMES BETTER This is an extraordinary claim, but it is well authenticated. Amongst the comparative tests made by BRIKALOR engineers, that which is known as the "seven year suspension" stands out with startling results. [Image captions: After 10 hrs. After 20 hrs. After 61,320 hrs.] A cask of the graphited oil was set aside and each year for seven years a sample was drawn from the bottom of the cask. There was no deposit and no precipitation. By comparison ordinary oil mixed with graphite deposited the mineral completely in ten hours. When mixed with colloidal or jellied graphite the deposit was almost complete in twenty hours. It can safely be asserted that the graphite in BRIKALOR remains in suspension indefinitely. Not only this, the combination of graphite and oil achieved in BRIKALOR is by a chemical process which renders the mineral of extreme fineness, so fine indeed as to be almost indistinguishable from fluidity. This means that it will pass through all types of filters without any deposit. It cannot be split up by any conditions in the ordinary motor car engine. It is ready for use at any time and requires no mixing. When changing over to BRIKALOR it is advisable to draw off the ordinary oil and start with a good supply of the graphited product to get the quickest and best results. On the other hand BRIKALOR can be added to oil already in the engine, with which it will mix naturally until after several applications the correct quantity of graphite will be in circulation. IRRESISTIBLE EVIDENCE The following authenticated tests carried out by Messrs. Charles Rickards, Ltd., Transport Contractors, 12, Spring Street, London, W.2, under actual working conditions provide startling evidence and prove the immense superiority of BRIKALOR, both as regards economy and mechanical efficiency. TEST 1. Feb. 10th, 1934. This test was made on a 15-cwt. 14 h.p. Morris Box Van. Engine reconditioned, rebored, and all new bearings. Prone to seize. Difficult to start from cold. Pressure 25 lbs. per sq. inch. Oil consumption 1,800 m.p.g. Changed to Brikalor after 500 miles on standard oil. Observation taken after 2,525 miles showed consumption improved to 5,050 m.p.g. All signs of seizing disappeared. Engine starts now immediately from cold. Engine much quieter and smoother. Pressure improved to 40 lbs. per sq. inch. Driver states engine never performed so well. (Signed) C. WATTS, Maintenance Dept. TEST 2. Feb. 14th, 1934. A 13 h.p. Austin Van 12 cwt. was put under test. Engine in poor condition. Pistons slack. Liable to sump back-pressure. Consumption 750 m.p.g. Pressure 20 lbs. per sq. inch. Engine drained and filled with Brikalor. Observation taken over 800 miles showed rapid improvement. Oil consumption decreased to 4,496 m.p.g. Back pressure almost eliminated. Engine quieter and smoother. Starts easily from cold. Pressure improved to 30 lbs. per sq. inch. Observation taken March 23rd indicates improvement in general performance is maintained. (Signed) C. WATTS, Maintenance Dept. The results of the above and similar tests indicate that BRIKALOR may be used by car owners and users of commercial vehicles with certainty of economy and all good satisfaction. BRIKALOR GRAPHITED LUBRICATING OILS FOR ALL PURPOSES ADVANTAGES of BRIKALOR In your own interests, decide now to make a personal test of BRIKALOR, the graphited lubricating oil for all types of motor car engines. The following advantages are claimed and are being substantiated by daily evidence from users. 1. Lower Oil Bills. BRIKALOR retains its viscosity and lasts longer. Engine oil does not require changing so frequently. Though BRIKALOR costs slightly more, it has been proved that it lasts from 25 per cent. to 75 per cent. longer than other oils, besides giving better results. 2. Lower Petrol Bills. Better lubrication means greater power and less consumption of spirit. 3. Reduced friction and consequent reduced wear and tear of working parts by at least 25 per cent. 4. Lower depreciation costs, brought about by longer life of engine and all bearings. BRIKALOR can be used with equal beneficial effects wherever lubrication is needed. 5. Cooler engines. Less friction means less heat. 6. Easier and quicker starting. Gumming is impossible. The graphite film on all working parts means ease and freedom in starting up in the coldest weather. 7. Less strain and less wear on starters and batteries. 8. Confidence on the road. You may run short of oil and drive safely for many miles, without damage or loss of speed or power. 9. Smoother running, the desire of all motorists and which must always be dependent upon perfect lubrication. 10. Less noise. Many old cars of which the engines knocked and rattled and groaned have been rendered almost silent by BRIKALOR. 11. Reduced repair bills. BRIKALOR actually dissolves carbon deposit and reduces the necessity for frequent decarbonisation. 12. Uniform application. There are only four grades of BRIKALOR, one or other of which is suitable for every make and type of car, motor cycle and commercial vehicle. This removes the need for the average motorist to select from amongst the confusion of brands and grades now on the market. BRIKALOR is not only suitable for cars, but can be used with equal advantage for aero engines, marine engines, Diesel engines, turbines, steam engines, gear boxes, axles, and in all mechanical conditions where perfect lubrication is desired. BRIKALOR is now available at many garages and service depots in five gallon drums, and in one gallon, half-gallon and one quart tins.
