EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/10.2.30. cont. Sketch of suggestion (2) PIVOT CUT AUTOVAC OFF FOR EXPERIMENT. RUBBER We wish you to go ahead with the testing of this as soon as possible as we believe that, if the removal of the body torsional stiffness from that of the chassis is a cure for the radiator shimmy, this would be the best scheme. We also suggest that it is very desirable that at the very earliest date we should get conclusive proof of the original results obtained by the three point body suspension experiment. We believe that car had a "cross-in-the-frame". Suggestion No.2 is a similar experiment which could be carried out and fitted to a standard car, in fact, if it were found to be successful, we do not see any reason why we could not use it for complaint cases. We do not think you need a design to make the first test, but on hearing from you we will make one if you need it. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
