For the attention of "Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ", "Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} " or "Les" L1293 TRANSLATION ET. SUSPENSIONS DE RAM 125 Avenue de la {L. A. Archer} Reine, BOULOGNE-sur-SEINE. to FRANCO-BRITANNIC AUTOS Avenue George V P A R I S VIII. LES Boulogne-sur-Seine, 29 May 1935 Dear Sirs, We are sending you by the bearer a shock absorber which you have asked us for testing purposes. As you know, our device is operated by means of a cam, so that the action increases on either side of a neutral position. The shock absorber we have sent you consists of two articulated arms and is held in this neutral position by means of a metal rod connecting the two arms and keeping the two axes at a distance of 275 mm. apart, which is the correct working position. We wish to point out that by departing from this position, the action of the shock absorber is increased and it becomes difficult to put it back into its original position without the help of special tools. Please find attached an invoice concerning this shock absorber. Believe us etc... Sgd. G. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} de RAM. | ||
