Launching Gear - Clutch Operation.
We attach to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH's. copy the original of :-
PL.835 2 sheets. clutch operating mechanism and rear engine mounting.
The above scheme shews the clutch operating mechanism to the clutch from the drivers cabin. As the drivers cabin is at right angles to the engine, it has been necessary to turn the operating lever on the end of the clutch shaft, thro. 180° in order that the operating rods can be in tension, also a bell crank lever in the mechanism is necessary.
The rear engine mounting is also shewn on the above scheme, to suit the winch sub-frame and the modified clutch operation. This design should not be detailed at present.
