446-8 To Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Ms. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} c. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} c. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/HW. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}2/MR.3.11.38. Bentley III Rear Springs - 10.B.V. & Bump Chassis. We want two pairs of springs for B.III. These springs will be to the new drawing FB.4271, Toledo wood head grooved and interleaved spring. The drawing has certain dimensions left off: these we have added to the attached print (to Ms. only) in pencil. The spring required has -1/2" camber under 1,000 lbs. load, and the free camber will be +6 1/2". Thus it is a 7" deflection spring under full load, about 5.8" deflection, light. We want this spring as soon as possible. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale}, | ||
