Valve lubrication issues on engine 12-G-4 causing unreliability at slow speeds.

Our experience with 12-G-4 says that the valves are not getting enough oil, especially the inlets, because they have been sticking, spoiling the slow running, and making the engine unreliable at slower speeds; but not affecting the high speeds.
It is possible that this fault caused you to blame the pistons because this engine has always been slightly unsatisfactory.
