Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} (Belper) [Signature] 6.00 TB/AGR.3/P22.8.41. AERO SERVICE CAR - 25 G.VI. A check of oil consumption has been carried out on the engine of this car between speedometer readings of 52797 and 57785 miles, covering a distance of 5188 miles. The oil used during this period was 6 gallons, 1 pint. A tapping noise is becoming more evident in this engine under load which you will probably wish to investigate and cure. Will you please let us know when you can deal with this and we will arrange to let you have the car, if possible. OIL CONS = 840 MPG. TB/AGR. [Signature] | ||
