REAR AXLES.

We wish to instruct three new axles for use on Experimental Chassis to replace existing 1 1/2" Hypoid axles.

We give below the features we wish to incorporate in these axles. Of these features, the self seal wheel bearings with oil return holes in end plates and the parallel roller O.S. diff bearing require brief schemes and details. Will you please make these schemes and then prepare specifications in terms of LOP's and Piece Nos.

11/41 Ratio S/ZNCR. gears.
45 m/m Shafts. 59.5 Track.
Self Seal Wheel Bearings with Oil Drain holes in End Plates.
Parallel Roller O.S. Stiff Bearing.
0.3 - 0.4 Carbon tubes machined internally to 0.125 radial thickness.
Spring seats welded on.
Strengthened centre case bolts.

Overhung Pinion Axle to Spec. By/Ald.{F. Allwood - Experimental Design}1/AW.9.5.39.
58 track - 1.531 shaft.
Self Seal Wheel Bearings with holes in end plates to suit.
Parallel roller O.S. diff. bearing.
0.3-0.4 Carbon tubes 0.125 thick.
Spring seats welded on.
