August 2nd, 1932.

Messrs. S. Smith & Sons, Ltd.
Cricklewood Works,
London, N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr. C.W.Nicholls.

Dear Sirs,

We apologise for the delay in replying to your letter ref. S.l. of the 22nd ult. but this is due to the holiday intervening.

Apparently the Boyce clock we returned to you had been modified which modification we had unfortunately overlooked at the time we sent the clock to you. In the circumstances would you kindly return the clock to us. We have, however, another clock with the coarse winding on the magnet coils which is in use at the moment, but when this is available we will return same to you for the attention of Mr. H.N.Walford.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
