With reference to our conversation yesterday, it is agreed that our present standard chassis may go on the road fitted with front wheel brakes, which will not be visible unless one stoops down to examine them, on the understanding that the car will only go on the road after dark, will not pass through towns, and will not stop at garages, or anywhere where the car can be examined by other people; and that the driver is fully warned that he should not show the brakes, or speak of them to any person, even an employee of Rolls-Royce Ltd., and that the car is kept out of sight during the day-time.
