X1027 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. BJ1/H8.6.23. Tools on 40/50 and 20 H.P. X1027 X4083 C.J. and I discussed with H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} to-day the possibility of carrying less tools on both the 40/50 and 20 h.p. cars. The lists attached were prepared by two of our people who have considerable driving experience on Rolls-Royce cars. Mr. Royce requests that you will consider whether you have any suggestions to make with regard to this matter, as we of course do not wish to carry more weight than is absolutely necessary on our cars, and in addition to this, the tools at present take up a very large amount of space and the drawers, trays and other accommodation for them all increase the weight.
