X No. 8420 (crossed out) 7420 Drawing No. F.76482 Origin. To increase safety of brake application and enable flexible front springs to be employed. Experimental Test Report. Run 100 hrs. on the bump. Enables pivot lean to be maintained more consistently. Road Test Report. Run 5000 miles on 12-EX, 10-EX and EAC.7. Marked improvement in steering control under brake application. When this device is fitted we can then, if desired, use weaker front springs and greater % of front braking. It is not proposed to alter either of these under this sheet. Part List A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to Customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works.
