NOTES OF INSPECTION OF 1-B-50 'MOCK-UP' AT PARK WARDS' WORKS ON 27.4.38. -------------------------------------------- (1) Radiator and bonnet criticised as being bulky and heavy. If radiator can be narrower this would help and facilitate the abolition of the slight ogee curves to the scuttle sides. Absence of radiator cap and mascot contributed to lack of character. (2) To obtain more width for shoulders of occupants of back seat we should consider re-shaping body in plan so as to increase width at rear as has been decided for 3-B-V.{VIENNA} This treatment would also help to reduce the ogee curves to the scuttle sides. (3) Too close a resemblance to Humber. Moulding treatment to be altered. (4) Back panel to be lengthened at the base. (5) Wings to be redesigned so they will be up-to-date when car launched. (6) Two fog lamps unnecessary. One considered sufficient. (7) Outside handles should pass through door moulding. (8) Radio and heater to be eliminated from position on back of division where they foul feet of passengers. (9) Is forward visibility from driving seat the best obtainable. (10) View ahead of occupants of back seat not to suffer interference from high scuttle rail. | ||
