| (Experimental Dept.) Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std2/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 11th February, 1937. Messrs. John Marston & Co.Ltd., WOLVERHAMPTON. Dear Sirs, We send you herewith a number of detail drawings of our Bentley Radiator as requested by your Mr. Collins over the telephone to-day. We omitted to explain to you that the Radiator Arrangement Drawing EB.1224 which we sent you was drawn for the old 84 mm. Mark III type of matrix. Actually as you know, we now use a 58 mm. Mark V matrix. This only affects the bottom tanks, side plates and matrix frame, details of which we are sending you. The writer has examined the altered Ph.III matrix which you sent us and it appears to be quite satisfactory. It is being checked by our Inspection Dept. and you will receive further instructions from our Mr. Wallace about the production matrices to be altered. We are anxious to find out whether it is practicable to spot weld mild steel (approx. 16SWG) to 'Staybrite' Stainless Steel of approximately 16SWG without leaving any appreciable indentation on the outside surface of the 'Staybrite'. If so, would you be prepared to undertake spot welding of this nature for us. We are contemplating redesign of our 25/30 H.P. Car Radiator shortly and the writer would be Contd. | ||
