To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} c. to GR.{George Ratcliffe} X1033 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}24/KW.31.1.36. Here is a report of Ratcliffe's on the Stromberg carburetter as fitted to Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s car. You have the only final scheme of carburetter and controls on 21-G-IV, so that I am anxious that you should go over what he says about the system and confirm or otherwise the troubles which he has experienced. In particular, I do not like the idea of the accelerator pump spindle sticking if it is connected up to the outer hole of link L.761. I think you should get three or four carburetters dismantled and get Coverly to check up the drilling of the accelerator pump spindle guide and pump bore and also the lineability of these two parts.
