XU576 To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}7/KT.6.10.33. ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/MS6/P.22.9.33. We do not propose to standardise the Marston matrix for the standard 40/50 chassis at the moment. The standard chassis does not suffer from overheating in the normal way, and we would prefer to get a little more experience of the Marston radiator in service before we commit ourselves to is on every car. We do recommend that any car which is to be used in hot climates or on the continent should be fitted with the Marston matrix, whether it is a continental P.II. or an ordinary type chassis.
