EWP.{Mr Punt} (Paris) 6142 Ha/Wat.9/MA.17.9.35. Re. 70 M S DYNAMO OUTPUT. We think there must be some mistake regarding the above as a dynamo delivering 70 amps is beyond our "wildest dreams". An output of 30 amps should be ample even if the largest headlamps and foglamps are used and a radio set installed as well as car heaters. As this car has the now obsolete third brush dynamo system fitted it would mean rewiring the dashboard, providing a new switch box, new distribution board, new ammeter and a new voltage regulator in addition to a special air cooled dynamo to give this customer a sustained output of 30 amperes. Even if the customer decided to go to the expense of this work with the present state of things it would take us about 2 months to make a special dynamo which of course could not be supplied under a guarantee unless extended chassis trials were made.
