Dear Sirs,
For the attention of Mr. Bowering.
Our Mr. Kent being away at the time has requested the writer to get into touch with you concerning the casting of the new pump, your Part No. D.74508.
We have made a few alterations on this double pump with a view to increasing the flow, these alterations being an increase in diameter of a 1/32" of the valve chamber and the increasing in size of the two pairs of angular feed holes. These two alterations are marked in red on your enclosed print. We also make one or two other alterations such as increasing the area of the cross holes in the valve cage, but this will not worry you at all being our manufacture.
Will you, therefore, kindly let us have two further revised drawings of this D.74508 embodying these alterations so that the thing will be definitely on record.
Assuring you of our best attention at all times, we are
Yours faithfully,
For THE S.U. COMPANY.
