X.4646. BONE GREY FIBRE FOR BATTERY IGNITION
CONTACT BREAKER RUBBING BLOCKS.

We are anxious to ascertain that the material used for the rubbing blocks of the battery ignition contact breaker has not varied since December 1926. At that time we were receiving what we called whalebone grey fibre which we proved experimentally to wear particularly well. If there has been any variation we ought now to make comparative tests of the material being supplied.
