| 260. S/W Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}..from Lp.{Mr Lappin} Lp.{Mr Lappin}4/WT18.3.39 B-50-LS. One of JLE{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager}'s men will bring the above car up to you on Monday. The throttle sticks badly. Leak at water joints on heater when cold. The spare wheel well has broken away from the mudguard Could the back tyres be changed to the front ? Re mileage. I am sorry I cannot find anything in file. I used to take a very close interest in tyre mileage, but nobody seemed to take any notice. Dodd, no doubt, has some figures for tyres in cars I use. My recollection is that on the old small tyres, driven hard during summer conditions, I could do about 4,000 - 5000 whereas with the larger tyres this figure goes up to 8,000 - 9,000. Again summing summer conditions. F.{Mr Friese} DODD See C.T.S. about the short liner block to be fitted to this car Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Lp{Mr Lappin} | ||
