86008. By/CGH.{W Clough} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.8/MA.11.1.34. 20/25 HP. TANK ENGINE DYNAMO. Replying to your By/CGH.{W Clough}7/G.13.12.33 the dynamo particular are as follows :- Armature. Made up of stamped slotted plates in Sankeys Steel and wound with 2 coils per slot 2 turns per coil of 15 S.W.G. D.C.C. (extra fine) wire. The slot depth to be the same as on drawing D.73840. Brush angle - 15º Brushes - not finally decided Field - as many turns possible of 20 S.W.G. D.C.C. (extra fine) wire. The pole core should be as deep as possible and the armature core reduced in diameter consistent with the reduction in the slot depth caused by the fewer number of conductors.
