Messrs.Joseph Lucas Ltd.,
Great King Street,
Birmingham, 19.

For the attention of Mr.R.N.Neill.

Dear Sir,

Referring to our various discussions regarding the modified P.100 lamps for the Bentley Chassis, we are building another experimental Bentley Car for prolonged 10,000 mile test we anticipate that this will be ready within the next 14 days and we should like to know if you would like to take advantage of this chassis test to test our proposals for P.100 headlamps. As we anticipate you will not have the special front glasses ready in time we propose that you adopt the ordinary standard glass for the purpose of this test but what we are particularly interested in is whether you can submit in time for test a pair of P.100 headlamps with a more streamlined shell and of reduced weight.

We also require for this chassis another Lucas Stop and Tail lamp of the type which we have developed between ourselves for the Bentley & R.R.Chassis. Will you please say if you can produce another one of these within the next 14 days for test on this chassis.

We also require a centre fog lamp of your latest pattern and we shall be glad if you would send us one of these along for this chassis as well.

We propose issuing an order for these if you say that you can fulfill our requirements in time.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
