FABROIL TIMING GEARS.

With regard to your request re the above, I have got the information as far as possible which I enclose.

Re Standardisation Sheets.

I have gone through the specification of 6-B.IV and have made out a list enclosed of units not standardised. There may be reasons for not doing so which I am not aware of.

Fan. LOP. EB.189.
Fan hub E.1644 produced in A/C. replacing I/C blades in duralumin. 13,300 miles.

Radiator shutters LOP. EB.1990 HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 2082.
Initial spring load reduced to .005.
Shutter made as free as possible 17,000 miles.
Bad rattles reported throughout.

Starter Motor.
1 DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 1185 Starter pinion)

Buttress Thread driving end satisfactory throughout mileage.

Dynamo.

satisfactory for output.
recurrent trouble with sticking brushes.

Increased inertia 2 EB 2829. Cotton duck washer.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}131 Mod. to front and rear damper wheels.

Insulated thermometer. LEC.5060.

Exhaust Valves.
KE.965 stellited standard clearance.
S/SLV. stellited guide clearance. .0015 .002.
