We have received the following cable from R.{Sir Henry Royce} dated 21.2.31.
"HIVES SUGGEST GRYLLS CONCENTRATES ON PHANTOM PERIOD AT TWENTYFIVE HUNDRED STOP TEST PLATE SAME REVOLUTIONS AS CAR BECAUSE UNIVERSAL IN CLUTCH. IF ONE PER REVOLUTION ALMOST CERTAINLY FLYWHEEL. AS CHINA. BALANCE WEIGHTS WILL NOT ALTER PERIODICITY, IF THREE OR MORE IT IS TORSIONAL AND PERIODICITY WILL BE REDUCED. SUGGEST RUBBER MOUNTING ON TEST PLATE THANK ROBOTHAM FOR SUGGESTED DAMPER DESIGN NEED SOME FURTHER CONSIDERATION BEFORE PRODUCING EXPERIMENTALLY SEE LETTER POSTED WITTERING."
