-3- (11) Radiator. We know that the latest Cadillac has a simple steam valve, and anti-rattle radiator shutters, both of which ought to be investigated. (12) If we can make the semi-floating axle good for the Phoenix it should be good for the Phantom and Wraith. When we come to a new rear axle presumably we may want to increase the hypoid and use a split propeller shaft to get the rear seats down. (13) Wraith brakes should be interchangeable with P.III.2. and - (a) Drum area should be more nearly equal, front and rear. (b) Hydraulic scheme may be considered on the front, depending on the success of experiments now in hand. (14) L.H. steering should be incorporated together with pedals, now that we have a gearbox suitable for central change. (15) All electrical equipment of these two chassis should be identical except distributor and possibly starter motor. (16) Wheel and hub equipment should be interchangeable. Briefly, instead of the existing Wraith forming the basis of P.III.2, we feel that a new P.III.2. will largely be a model for a final Wraith. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
